Back by popular demand: our most hands-on, radically practical workshop experience.
This time, we’re focusing on one of the most powerful parts of songwriting: finding surprising, exciting and genuinely songworthy lyrics.
What We’ll Do
Over the course of 90 minutes, we’ll guide you through a transformative lyric-writing exercise designed to help you generate strong song ideas, vivid images and original lines—without waiting for inspiration to strike.
You’ll then use what you discover to build and complete a first draft of a song.
This is not a workshop where you sit back and take notes. You’ll be writing throughout the session, with clear guidance at every stage.
What You’ll Discover
You’ll learn that great lyric ideas are not something you either have or don’t have.
They are something you can learn how to find.
The exercises in this workshop will show you that you are capable of generating ideas on any day, and of writing lines that feel poetic, surprising, emotionally resonant and connected to the listener.

This workshop is for songwriters of any level, from complete beginners to experienced writers.
